Messengers for Action and Solidarity (MAS) Campus Services and Mentor Departments have a mission of securing our community's future by empowering our students and professionals. Our focus is to connect Muslim professionals & students with the goal of building long term relationships to help advance our community member's professional and career goals. One relationship at a time, we will help our community succeed insha' Allah.
Mentors will help inspire students, as well as develop and advance their life, leadership and career skills. Mentors will benefit by attaining the reward of Allah first and foremost. Mentors will also develop the leadership and communication skills needed to lead our students to success. Most importantly, taking part of this effort will help the Mentor be of those taking steps to secure the future of our community. |
MAS Mentorship Program is broken down into focus groups. A focus group is a network of MAS Mentors in similar fields. Our six focus groups are Healthcare, Computers and Technology, Management and Business, Science, Arts and Communication and Architecture and Engineering.
Our vision is to facilitate pairing of Muslim mentors and mentees across a wide spectrum of fields, as well as fostering leadership skills and qualities within these same individuals. Together we can strengthen our communities through knowledge sharing and career development. We believe in these two elements as the foundations of empowerment. Career Preparation
We will help the Mentee research and develop the needed tools for a successful Career. Our Mentors will help with tips and workshops on interviews, CV/Resume's and Professionalism. Our goal is your success int the professional world.

Vision and Goals
After helping the Mentee set a vision for themselves, our Mentors will help them set clear goals to attain their dreams. We will follow up on a regular basis to help ensure those goals are achieved. Our Mentors real world experience, will help the Mentee practical goals.

A Relationship
The Mentor-Mentee relationship is the key to successful mentoring. The pairing is done thoughtfully. The goal is for Mentors to provide guidance and coaching on life, academic, career and professional goals insha' Allah.
